Gnomes Sensor Noise

Los Angeles, California Aug 19, 2026 (Issuewire.com) Emerging indie rock band, SENSOR NOISE, releases Gnomes, a new single from their upcoming album Sweet Tooth.

Recorded in a farmhouse in the rolling hills of Tehachapi, Gnomes is softer and sweeter than the groups usual sound. Vocalist and lyricist Allisyn Snyder shares, Im deeply fascinated by the shared experiences of DMT users who encounter what they describe as machine elves or mechanical gnomes. It’s said that they communicate with a visual language, and sing objects into existence. Making music is magical, whether or not youre on psychedelics, so my lyrics come from a place of awe and wonder, a tribute to these mysterious gnomes.

The soul of this track is a droning guitar echoing from the indoor balcony of the farmhouse. “I originally played the lead line infused with fingerpicked chords,” offers guitarist Steve Arm, “but like most of the ideas we brought to Tehachapi, the house helped shape the track. The chords were mesmerizing as they reverberated from the wooden walls and tile floor. They demanded no interruptions.”

The bands bassist, Dylan Snyder, has spent his life in the entertainment industry both in front of and behind the camera. He directs many of the SENSOR NOISE music videos and is always experimenting. Regarding the Gnomes video, Dylan shares, We used a tried and true camera technique called forced perspective, famously used for the hobbits in Lord of the Rings. It was our first time playing with the technique and we found it works best when the camera was level with the ground. I was wearing a papier-mâché rock goblin mask, and we wanted to make Allisyn appear small next to me. We stood 12-15 feet away from each other and pretended to interact to sell the illusion that I was twice her size. Im really proud of how this concept turned out and eager to keep trying new techniques in our future videos.

SENSOR NOISE will be celebrating the release of their album Sweet Tooth with an all-ages show at Lucky Strike in Hollwyood on Saturday, September 25th. The band goes on at 8:15pm. Follow @SensorNoise on Instagram for updates.
