Former White House Cybersecurity Official and U.S. Navy Captain to Advise enQase on Quantum-Safe Security for Defense and National Security
AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — enQase, a provider of full-stack quantum-safe security and enterprise cryptographic management solutions, today announced the appointment of Brian Scott as Defense and National Security Advisor.
Scott brings extensive experience spanning military operations, national security, federal cybersecurity policy, and critical infrastructure protection. His appointment strengthens enQase’s strategic advisory capabilities as the company expands its engagement with the U.S. Department of Defense, federal agencies, defense contractors, and critical infrastructure organizations.
“The transition to quantum-safe security is a strategic national security imperative,” said Rajesh Patil, CEO of enQase. “Brian brings a unique combination of military leadership, White House cybersecurity policy experience, and an understanding of the operational challenges facing defense organizations. His guidance will help us align our technology and strategy with the evolving security requirements of the defense and national security communities.”
Scott most recently served as Deputy Assistant National Cyber Director for Cyber Policy and Programs at the White House Office of the National Cyber Director from 2022 to 2025. In this capacity, he coordinated cybersecurity priorities across the U.S. Government and played a key role in developing the 2023 National Cybersecurity Strategy.
Previously, Scott served on the White House National Security Council staff as Director for Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity and held senior leadership positions at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). His work included developing national cybersecurity policy, strengthening critical infrastructure resilience, and addressing cybersecurity supply chain risks.
Before his civilian federal service, Scott completed a distinguished 28-year career in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Captain. His military experience includes combat operations, command of Training Squadron TEN, service as Air Boss aboard the USS Harry S. Truman, and leadership of command center operations at U.S. Strategic Command. His military decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross with Combat “V”.
In his advisory capacity, Scott will provide strategic guidance on defense and national security requirements, federal engagement, and opportunities to advance enterprise-wide quantum-safe security.
“Quantum-safe security is becoming increasingly important to national security and critical infrastructure resilience,” said Brian Scott. “Organizations need to understand their cryptographic dependencies and establish practical approaches to modernization. I look forward to working with enQase as it advances solutions to address these challenges.”
enQase’s unified cryptographic control plane helps organizations identify, protect, govern, and adapt their cryptographic infrastructure. Its platform brings together cryptographic discovery, post-quantum protection, centralized key management, and crypto-agility to support organizations transitioning to quantum-safe security.
Scott’s appointment reflects enQase’s commitment to supporting defense organizations and federal agencies as they modernize their cryptographic infrastructure while maintaining interoperability with existing systems and mission-critical environments.
