2026 Year-To-Date Results Show Efficiencies Across Franchise Recruitment, Sales, and Store Development as the Brand Continues to Expand Nationwide
HARTLAND, Wis., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Batteries Plus, the nation’s leading battery and power solutions service center, is reporting lower franchise acquisition costs and faster development timelines compared with franchise-industry benchmarks, according to the company’s 2026 year-to-date results.

The brand reports an average cost per franchise lead of $130, compared with an industry benchmark of $269, and a cost per sale of $9,231, compared with $13,449. These comparisons draw on industry data, including cost-per-lead and cost-per-sale benchmarks from Franchise Update Media’s 2026 Annual Franchise Development Report (AFDR). Batteries Plus also reports an average of 69 days to sign a franchise agreement, versus an industry benchmark range of 120 to 160 days, and 54 days to open a location, compared with a nine-month industry benchmark.
The results reflect the brand’s approach to franchise development and its focus on helping prospective owners move through the process efficiently, from initial inquiry to opening their doors.
“Growth isn’t just about signing more franchise agreements. It’s about building a development process that helps the right owners move forward efficiently and gets them into business,” said Joe Malmuth, Chief Development Officer of Batteries Plus. “We’ve continued to invest in the people, processes, and technology that support our franchisees, and we’re seeing encouraging results across the development timeline.”
That progress comes as Batteries Plus continues to expand its nationwide footprint. In the third quarter of 2026, the brand signed 19 franchise agreements and opened 13 locations across six states: Florida, Utah, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Alabama and Texas.
With more than 800 locations open and in development across all 50 states and Puerto Rico, Batteries Plus is continuing to build on its nearly 40-year history in specialty retail. The company offers franchisees a business model serving both consumer and commercial customers with batteries, lighting, repair services, and other power solutions.
As Batteries Plus looks ahead, the company remains focused on strengthening its franchise-development process and supporting operators as they bring the brand to new markets.
