CLINTON, Conn., Oct. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kenyon International, Inc., the largest manufacturer in North America of two-burner ceramic glass cooktops and electric grills, is bringing award-winning technology that withstands rough waters into home kitchens. Its new Signature® Induction Cooktop line has won Kenyon a fourth IBEX Innovation Award, presented each year at the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition & Conference to recognize outstanding engineering and design in the marine industry.
Announced at the IBEX Innovation Awards ceremony, the Signature® Induction Cooktop line was selected for its innovative design and performance. IBEX judge Tony Esposito noted, “The matte black glass-ceramic cooktop eliminates reflective glare, fingerprints and visible dings from daily use; but as a cook, the real innovation is the ‘bridge’ feature that spans two burners and provides even heat across a flat-top griddle or oversized pasta pot, further blurring the line between cooking onboard and at home.”
Built to handle the roughest sea conditions while maintaining the refined aesthetics of a luxury home, the Signature® Induction Cooktop line also combines the advanced safety features that keep cooks safe at sea with precise cooking performance. Simple, intuitive operation for every cook is ensured by waterproof Slide Touch Controls and an ADA-compliant interface.
Each unit includes Kenyon’s patented, dishwasher-safe SilKEN® Protective Mat, which can be placed directly on top of the built-in cooktop. On the water, the mat grips cookware to keep it secure. At home, the surface is protected from damage and chefs will never need to clean a cooktop again, just throw it in the dishwasher.
An Auto Zone Power Shut-Off system automatically turns off the unit when cookware is removed or left unattended, while the surface cools rapidly once cooking is finished. A Control-Lock feature keeps the smallest hands from being able to change settings, and boost, simmer and a smart timer means meals can be prepared as quickly or as slowly as the most delicate dishes require. Every model is backed by a 5-year product replacement warranty.
“If a cooktop can handle the demands of open waters, it can handle anything your kitchen throws at it on a busy weeknight,” said Mike Reischmann, CEO of Kenyon International, Inc. “Winning this award tells us the toughest critics in the marine industry see what we see, and it tells home cooks they can expect the same cooking quality and a polished look in their own kitchens.”
The Signature® Induction Cooktop is available in two-burner landscape and portrait configurations, as well as a four-burner model, with prices starting at $900.
Kenyon offers a full range of induction and radiant cooktops and built-in, standalone and portable electric smokeless and flameless grills that can be used indoors or outdoors, any time of year.
