SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HealthEx, the platform that gives individuals control of their medical records and lets them access and share those records with any health application, AI tool, provider, or health plan, today launched a connector for Muse, a new personal AI agent from Meta. People in the United States can use HealthEx to connect their health records to their muse and choose what care sites to connect. Once connected, a person’s muse can act on the health history they have shared, assembling a visit summary, drafting the questions worth raising with a doctor, or setting a reminder for a refill before it runs out.
“So much of what falls through the cracks in medicine is routine, like a follow-up a doctor asked for that was never scheduled. Individuals have always carried that burden. Muse now helps people make real progress on health goals with a plan that adapts to their life,” said Priyanka Agarwal, M.D., MBA, co-founder and CEO of HealthEx, who practiced medicine as an internist for nearly 15 years at the University of California, San Francisco. “A person’s muse can work from their own records through HealthEx, including what their doctor recommended at the last visit, and help them follow through. Individuals always stay in control, deciding what to share and when to stop.”
Most Americans’ health records are scattered across the clinics, hospitals, labs, and specialists they have visited over a lifetime. That fragmentation leaves individuals without a unified view of their own health history, and without portability they cannot easily share it with a new doctor or connect it to the apps and AI platforms they use. Most people using an AI agent for their health today are doing so with incomplete personal context, or none, which may result in information or insights that are less tailored to the individual.
HealthEx closes this gap. A person verifies their identity and HealthEx automatically locates their longitudinal health records. Nothing is retrieved or shared with their muse without the person’s consent. HealthEx Wallet, the web app available to all individuals who use HealthEx, lets a person view and manage their data in one place, see every active connection to health apps and tools, spot where records are missing so they can add them, and share them with their muse.
With records connected through HealthEx, a person’s muse gives them:
- Personal context, not generic answers. When someone decides to explore a health goal or concern, their muse draws on the health history they have shared instead of general information and helps them keep track of their own progress as things change.
- Proactive follow-through between visits. A person’s muse can surface the loose ends already sitting in a person’s records, like a referral not yet scheduled or a refill running low and help them close each one out.
- One connection to reuse. People who already hold their records through HealthEx Wallet can extend that connection to Muse with a single approval and their explicit consent. No new setup, no portal logins, and no technical skill required.
- Approval before any action. A person’s muse checks in before it acts on someone’s behalf, like drafting a message or setting a reminder. People choose what to connect, see what they have shared, and can disconnect their records at any time.
As an Individual Access Services provider under the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA), HealthEx gives individuals a secure, transparent, and seamless path to their own medical records. With a person’s consent, HealthEx locates those records automatically, surfacing the many places they have received care. The individual then directs which records are shared with their muse, with HealthEx Wallet giving them a single place to control ongoing access and revoke it at any time. No action is taken without an individual’s consent, and every permission is tracked and auditable.
Muse is available in the United States today on IOS and Android and at muse.ai. People can connect their medical records through HealthEx Wallet now. To learn more, visit healthex.io.
