The Eagle Leasing Company, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, today announced the acquisition of GoldStar Storage Container & Trailer Rentals (“GoldStar” or the “Company”), headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina. The transaction supplements Eagle Leasing’s branch network, providing additional resources to the existing branches in Charlotte and Raleigh. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2019, GoldStar Storage Container & Trailer Rentals is owned and operated by Leigh Ann Burdick and Patricia Burdick. The Burdicks have built GoldStar into a reputable provider of storage container solutions throughout southeastern North Carolina, serving contractors, businesses, and industrial customers. The Company’s fleet of storage containers, storage trailers, and office containers is supported by fast, dependable service from its Wilmington yard. GoldStar’s customers should expect a seamless transition and receive the same reliable service under the Eagle Leasing infrastructure.
“Wilmington is one of the fastest-growing markets on the East Coast, and GoldStar has built a first-rate operation poised to benefit from these market trends,” said Mike Ferrantino, Chief Strategy Officer at Eagle Leasing. “Leigh Ann, Patricia, and their team have done an outstanding job building the GoldStar foundation, and we are excited about the future growth potential.”
The acquisition continues Eagle Leasing’s steady, disciplined approach to growth – adding density in the markets where the platform already operates and partnering with owners who put service first.
“From day one, our focus has been making storage simple for our customers,” said Leigh Ann Burdick and Patricia Burdick. “Eagle Leasing approaches the business the same way we do, and they bring the fleet and resources to serve this region as it keeps growing. Our customers are in good hands.” Following the transaction, Leigh Ann and Patricia will both stay involved to support the transition, ensuring continuity for customers as GoldStar becomes part of the Eagle platform.
Eagle Leasing is actively seeking additional opportunities to partner with high-quality portable storage operators across the Eastern United States who share its commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
