Round Rock ISD names Typesy an approved vendor under RFP 26-080, effective through June 2031.
ROUND ROCK, TX, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Round Rock Independent School District has approved Typesy, eReflect’s K-12 typing and keyboarding curriculum, as a vendor under RFP Number 26-080, Software, Subscriptions and Web-Based Applications, through June 30, 2031. The six-year approval gives RRISD campuses the option to license Typesy over a long window, though whether and when individual schools adopt it remains a local decision.
Digital learning tools have become a fixture of daily instruction, which has pushed more districts to formally vet keyboarding vendors well ahead of any specific classroom need, rather than leaving campuses to search for options individually.
Most vendor approvals in K-12 procurement get re-evaluated every year or two as budgets and priorities shift. A six-year term changes that dynamic, giving Round Rock ISD campuses a long runway to decide when — or whether — to bring keyboarding instruction into their technology lineup.
Typesy for Round Rock ISD is a K-12 typing and keyboarding curriculum delivered through guided lessons, interactive exercises, and classroom-focused activities designed to improve typing speed, typing accuracy, and keyboard familiarity. For schools that choose to adopt it, students progress at their own pace, reinforcing practical typing habits that support technology-based learning throughout the school day.
Campuses that bring Typesy on can assign lessons, monitor keyboarding progress, and review performance data through built-in reporting tools designed to simplify implementation and support long-term student skill development.
“A longer vendor agreement like this lets a district’s campuses treat a keyboarding program as part of their regular instructional toolkit, once they decide to use it, rather than something that has to prove itself again every year,” said Marc Slater, CEO of eReflect.
Designed primarily for K-12 education, Typesy is built to help students strengthen digital fluency, foundational computer skills, and overall familiarity with classroom technology through guided practice exercises, for campuses that choose to adopt it.
While Typesy also offers homeschool and individual account options, its primary focus remains school-based learning and district-wide keyboarding instruction. Round Rock ISD campuses that opt in can implement the curriculum as part of technology classes, classroom learning activities, intervention programs, or broader digital learning initiatives designed to support student success.
Because the vendor agreement runs through 2031, Round Rock ISD campuses have unusual flexibility in whether to adopt Typesy right away or wait and evaluate other priorities first, since the option remains available for years rather than expiring after a single school year.
